In 7th period zoology students  begin to cut into the earthworm. They have to be super careful and pin each flap back. Aisling is making the incision and Sarah is using the probe to hold the worm and Allyssa is observing closely to fill out the lab sheet and diagram about the worm.
During the Homecoming dance, this surprise picture captured the moment of some friends having a blast. After the long wait to enter, the group had a blast along with others. Once the lights went out, the dancers took the floor and enjoyed the rest of the night. “The Homecoming dance was my favorite this week because it was super fun!” Hanson said after the dance.
 Paige Tetterton (Junior) quickly posed in front of a dock when she was actually in Building 8. “Kyle wanted me to be his first test subject for the green screen and he asked me to pick a number. I chose five and it was a dock,” Paige says. Sammi Sanchez (Alumni) and Kara Hedgespeth (Senior) took their photo in front of a space shuttle launch. “I chose the rocket launch because it seemed so unique and something we get to experience so often since we live on the space coast. Also, one of my favorite memories with my girlfriend is watching a rocket launch together behind building 8 during a robotics meeting,” says Sanchez.

Chorus Students selected for All State
The  MHS girls basketball team had a brief meeting before their first practice following tryouts on Wednesday, October 30th at 4:00 pm.

Mrs Taylor,the chorus teacher, helps her class warm up for sight reading. When the kids sing a song they have never seen before by looking at the music. Mrs Taylor holds up the hand sign for “Do” which is a chorus technique called solfege, that helps students find the pitch. Mrs. Taylor works to lead the class to perform their best.

First in Line: Junior, Magee Deverter, gets in line to grab her IB exam registration forms, followed by juniors Raj Dashondi and Aidan Clark. At registration, the students double checked that all their exam information was correct before signing off on the exams they would take in May. At the end of that school year, Deverter would be taking her French and Math Analysis exams.
