Educational Location Option (ELO) - Out of area students who just want to attend Melbourne High School

Educational Program Opportunity (EPO) - Out of area students who want to attend Melbourne High School for a specific program. 

Melbourne High School offers two types of choice programs:

1. International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB-DP) - application required for zoned and out of area students. 

2. Career and Technical Education (CTE) - application required for out of area students only.
   

   • Applied Engineering Technology

   • Building Construction Technologies

   • Culinary Arts

   • Applied Cybersecurity

   • Digital Design

   • Emergency Medical Responder

   • Nursing Assistant-Patient Care Assisting (PSAV)

**out of area students applying to any of the above CTE Programs may also request admission to the IB Career Program (IB-CP) once enrolled at Melbourne High School

IMPORTANT DATES for 2025-2026 School Year

• Jan 17 - Feb 21: Secondary Programs - (ELO/EPO) - NEW Applications Open for Secondary School

• March 10: Lottery held for Secondary Schools (excluding IB - Rubric Based)

• March 10-14: Notification of Seat Offering or Waitlist Status

• March 28: Deadline for New Applicants to Accept or Decline Offered Seat

• April - July: Choice Schools & Secondary ELO/EPO - Waitlist Application Opens

• End of July - Last day for schools to offer seats from waitlist
