Here at Melbourne High School, students take the culture experience to another level in French class. Throughout the school year students studying the language of the French, have put in so much effort learning how to communicate. This is especially true for 10th grade student, Kamiyah King.

Students taking French class, have been able to communicate in another language, and learn about the culture. King said, “This class is cool, I like growing my skills.” Recently, in French class, Madame Courtois had a surprise for all of her students. She presented a large sac a pan, meaning bread, prepared with Nutella. King said, “This was a delightful snack for the whole class.”  Which is also a well enjoyed snack in France. King said, “Seeing the teacher present a dish, made me excited to show the class mine.”

This class offers many fun opportunities, as they participate in fun learning activities. Another student, Mac Kneer, said, “French class is fun and educational.” Students can engage themselves in the classroom, by asking questions, paying attention. Kneer said, “When I ask a question, I instantly learn a new interesting meaning to something I didn’t know before.” In April, each student presented a French meal, self-made, from their own home. Kneer said, “This gave us perspective on different foods, and cultures.”
