Digital Design Students Prepare for Certification Exam by Ne'Asia Taylor-Torres

Digital Design students spent the past few days preparing for their exam. The class made different projects using different Adobe softwares to work on their skills. Students can earn a certificate if they successfully pass this exam. Which can help with future job opportunities and technology opportunities. “This certification will help me feel like all my hard work this semester means something,” Mariah Walker said.

Students learn by doing hands-on assignments, quizzes, and practice tests. They use programs like Photoshop, Adobe Express for Education, and GMetrix. Their teacher encouraged them to keep on trying and review the questions carefully. She explained at the beginning of the class that students can become a Program Completer if they successfully completing three years of digital courses. “We have done a lot of projects in the past few months, so I have decent experience,” Walker stated.

Many students said the practice exams were challenging, but they got the hang of it after a while. But, it allowed them to see how much they knew. “I was nervous at first, but once I got the hang with how Photoshop works, I felt more confident,” Walker shared. With practice and patience, the students worked towards earning a certificate that will benefit them beyond high school.
