New Student in Yearbook by Braelyn Arnella-White
Morgan Ostroff is a new student at Melbourne High School. She transferred here from Satellite High School where she has been doing yearbook since freshman year. At first yearbook was really stressful for her but once she got the hang of it it came easily to her. In a new school, yearbook is her rock to make connections. “Yearbook is a fun activity that allows you to meet new people and write inspiring captions and stories.” Yearbook is an outlet for your creativity that you can also get a credit for in school.
In Yearbook, students work to create and develop stories for the yearbook. They conduct interviews, take pictures, write stories, and collect information for the yearbook every year.Yearbook class can be very important and beneficial to students. In yearbook, students develop skills like writing, time management, marketing, media production, how to use equipment (cameras, etc.) which can benefit them in their future careers. It can also be beneficial for students introducing them to people who are interested in that same subject. For Morgan, yearbook has always been a fun way to express herself and let her creativity flow. She has learned a lot in yearbook and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
